    your “one small catch” — that’s what seems to me always the crux of the problem in education. and that’s why social experiments usually happen on weird farm communes, not in major cities– all those swirling needs and desires and impulses of so many people, changing and morphing and shifting and flipping– who can program the UGT to take it all in, respond to it, constantly adapt the rules that adapt the rules?

      What a fun comment! One way you constantly adapt the rules is you peg your compass on something “beyond” the rules (or the local landmarks) and you adjust your rules if you’re not moving towards that thing. What’s “beyond?” In this case, the feeling of being equally involved, mutually engaged, accepted, learning, growing.
